Default Post-rebuild

Alright guys...it's been nearly 3 months since the project started. And all the parts are back in the car......but not all of them seem to work properly. If you can address any of these problems it would be greatly appreciated....

1) New tranny has some weird shift points. Is it or is it not computer controlled for a 91 vette? How can I fix this?

2) Heats up very quickly and has been at 250 twice. New radiator?

3) Might it be a good idea to get it tuned by a shop. There is a shop here in San Diego (Larry's Corvette Shop) who has been highly recommended for tune ups but a vacuum to the wallet.

My dad has built numerous engines but nothing as new and as complex as the corvette.

Take a look at my mods and give me an idea where my idle should be.

ZZ9 Cam 483/520
Crane Cams 1.5 rr's
stock pushrods
bored 350/355
58mm throttle body
hypertech chip
Edelbrock Centerbolt 60cc heads
2300 stall converter
running around 9.72/1
Dynomax Ultra Flow mufflers

Any ideas? Suggestions?

thermostat, what temp are you using?

have you cleaned the radiator?

flushed the cooling system?

are the cooling fans coming on?

does it heat up at idle sitting still or on the highway moving as well?

what are your oil temps?

these are a few things to check first.

the transmission is a 700R4 in the 91 auto and the shift points are not computer controlled, a shift kit will be required to adjust them. unless the TV cable is off adjustment.

check these things first..

a note.. the cooling fans are computer controlled and if they do not come on you car will overheat.

good luck with it!
