no oil temperature

Hi Everybody,

I have the oil cooler on my 89 6 spd connected using steel braided lines, NO LEAKS, Yippie!!! But, I also have no oil temperature reading. I checked the wire it is not crimped. Any ideas.

If you short the sensor wire to ground it should go to the lowest reading. If you unplug it, it should got to the max reading. If it does that, then you likely have a bad sender.

Just seem coincidental that I put the oil cooler on and I loose the temperature reading. I am wondering if the spacer for the oil cooler does not block the passage way to the oil temperature sensor. I am thinking of moving the sensor to up where the oil pressure sensor is. Putting a Tee. I will disconnect it and see. Thank you
