Jacking up Vette and Ramps
I need to get my vette up in the air some to change the transmission fluid over to synthetic. I have read the archives and one member mentioned backing the car's rear tires onto rhino ramps and then jacking up the front using the front cross member and setting the front on jack stands.
I was wondering if any others have tried this technique and have some advice on things to watch out for and other words of wisdom. Also, will this get the car up high enough to change out the 6-speed tranny fluid..... and maybe even the differential fluid (if I get ambitious). :steering:
thanks much

What you are proposing can work, problem is you aren't going to get it very high, especially if you have to keep it level to get the fluids out. Maximum level height is the height of the Rhinos. Before I got the KWIKLIFT, I tried Rhinos...once!
Rear end should be level or you are likely to overfill it.
Someone in your area has a lift, ask around at local clubs, etc. Look in Southeast Events Section. Lots of Florida "misfits" post there, ask one of them to point you in the right direction. Job is much easier done on a lift
