Anyone have any problems with a clicking steering column? My steering is clicking when it comes to center from either direction and I can juuuust barely feel it in the steering wheel. Any one else experience this? :skep:
My steering wheel has clicked or "popped" on both of my LT4 cars. As long as the steering wheel doesn't fall off into my lap, I'll just assume it's a quirk.

Re: Steering clicking (spdrcrj)
GM has a service bulletin on this and I believe it still will be repaired under warranty. But check with your dealer.
It’s often described as “clicking” or “popping” coming thru the steering column. I had it repaired under warranty and they installed something called an upper bearing kit. I have no idea what was done.
I'm having this issue on my 95 C4 lt1 and the dealer says they don't know what it is. What can I do?
It is caused by worn joints in the the intermediate steering shaft which runs from the firewall to the steering rack. Common problem as the cars age.
The intermediate shaft is no longer available from GM, so you have two options...Contract a supplier like Corvette Central who sells rebuilt units or find a good used one from a salvage yard.
