The 92-93 LT1 ECM is used in f bodies also. They are typically you have to have on to get one. At one time there was a rebuilt ECM in parts sub forum. SIA Electronics has a good reputation for ECM repair.
I guess my question was worded correctly. The reason to replace it, was to get a more programmable ECM. I dont think the 92 was programable without burning the program in. I'm looking to hook to ECM and make changes.
It has been my experience that one is able to utilize a PCM from 1994 'vette or Z28 , to facilitate that which you are trying to achieve. Be aware it is NOT a plug & play situation..... however it is not "rocket science" either!!
There is splicing required to the existing corvette harness, the order of fire shall go from batch to sequential..... this is strictly for engine management either for a transplant or to solve the issues with the '92/'93 ECM's. I actually have found that most 5.7 engines are smoother @ idle also through the rpm range. My experience is a better tune is able to be extracted , I also use heated O2 sensors , where one wire is called for. again just my experience, don't care if others don't see the advantage.. I also have utilized PRODEMAND where one is able to access the appropriate pinout information to test ( bench) ECM/PCM component . there are some other challenges that show their colors, but nothing daunting...... as my CO said " no guts, No glory". I have learned a bunch from interchanging components..... mostly about my patience level??!! Stay Well

I’d stick with the 92 and get a Moates Ostrich (I think that’s what it is called)??
