Opti debugging...
Been checking every thing I can before tearing into the engine to replace the opti..
Changed spark plugs.
No codes.
Checked the vent system and found the check valve was bad. Replaced it and still had a miss...
Checked vaccum at the intake line. When starting the car vaccum guage took about 2 seconds to go to 22". Reving the engine caused back fires...
Plugged the vacuum line at the intake. No vacuum going to the distributer. Miss was not as bad but there occasionally...
There are two valves in the vacuum line and I have no idea what the first one does.
Does this still sound like the opti is bad?
