Coincidence with Coolant?
Hey guys,
I'm just wondering if this is only a coincidence, or if I should start looking for some trouble spots.
Anyway, I had my heater core go out on me about a month ago. No big deal, I can have that fixed and be done with it.
Then a couple of weeks ago my radiator began to leak a very small bit. It's also no big deal since I can fix that myself, and it gives me a reason to give it a cleaning anyway.
What I'm worried about is why I'd hit these two trouble spots over such a short time span. Am I maybe getting too much pressure or something, or can I chalk this up as a coincidence?
For the record I use 50/50 antifreeze/water mix, so I don't think I've eaten anything up.

Your cooling system is telling you that your vette has a corrosion problem. Your vette is over 14 years old, and leaky radiators and heat exchangers are not uncommon at that age. Mending your radiator is just a temporary fix before the next leak appears. Think about replacing the radiator, also.
