No start after new injector install
As far as I know I put everything back where it needed to be but I might go back and disassemble everything again to check.
I really don't know where to start and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello There WaffleIron! Welcome to the Corvette Forum! This is the place for questions regarding Corvettes. We are glad you are here!
The MAF is critical to the car being able to run properly. If it runs disconnected then I would try and clean the one you have first and see if that helps. Auto supply stores will have a special spray mixture for cleaning the MAF. The wires inside the MAF used for the signal are 1/10 of a mm in diameter and very fragile. Don't use anything other than the spray on the MAF or you will risk damaging it.
The MAF tells the ECM the volume of air coming into the combustion chamber and the accuracy is critical. If you have a bad MAF the car can't get the fuel mixture correct and drive-ability suffers. The MAF is one of the prime sensors in your Corvette along with your Oxygen Sensor
and Coolant Temperature sensor. IF and when you have to replace the MAF be sure to replace the two relays that go with it. One relay controls Power to the MAF and the second controls the "Burn-Off" function. The Burn-off is supposed to heat the MAF sensor wires to glow bright yellow and in the process they burn off any contaminants that are accumulating on the sensor wires.
Check your wiring on the Distributor for a loose or disconnected wires. Also be absolutely sure that NO AIR can leak into the throttle body that has not gone through the MAF. The tube has to be 100% sealed for the MAF to work correctly.
