Two related questions. First of all, thanks to a lot of hard work by L98Terror, I now have 3.54 gears in my 92 auto!! Earlier I installed an Ed Wright Fastchip - the Stage II, along with the 160* stat, which is designed for basically stock setups (2.59 gears). Since I now have the 3.54's, do I need a new custom chip?
Second question: Due to some screw-ups (not by any of us), the speedo gears we obtained weren't correct, so we had to leave the original ones in, and as a result the speedometer reads about 35% too high. Is is possible to correct for this with a new computer chip, or is the '92 computer unable to be reprogrammed for speed indication?
Eckler's has this 1984-'03 Speedometer calibrator listed in their online catalogue, but it's confusing whether it'll work in a 92 automatic. Has anyone used one of these?
