Default C4 vs C8 Fun

With the C8s finally showing up all over down here in DFW, I finally got to roll a couple in the recent weeks.

Here is a video I got yesterday. I was in 3rd, which is pretty low for 60mph as 2nd ends around 78mph. But got him none the less. He was a good sport about it. Fun times.

Curious your spreads now, you said 2nd is 78? so 3rd is around 120 for you then right?

Also, you gonna try that on a Z06 when you find one or no?

1st 51mph, 2nd 78mph, 3rd 115mph, 4th 147mph, 5th 230mph.. TKO 600 w/ 0.64 OD 5th gear and a 3.54 final.

I would love to see a new Z and would give it a go even though there would be bus lengths in difference.

I have another video but it is basically crap. Better start rpm and I pulled on him right off the bat. That guy wasn't so happy about it but still gave a thumbs up. Might have been the cloud of smoke I left him in, the 6.0 is a little worn out these days.

Close enough lol.

If the 6.0 is getting tired it is probably time for a 427 stroker.

I am torn between a light rebuild and a single turbo, aluminum block 6.2 for the weight savings, or building a stroker with the new L8T crank to make 389-395 cubes. Or maybe a combo of the last two for a 402.

not gonna lie, l8t swap would be cool. The new architecture has loads of potential. But a 389has a nice ring to it too.

Have a 6.6 in the new work truck. I'm almost positive it's severely detuned to not blow past the 6.2... the power delivery is just too weird to not be messed with.

Whatever you do I'm sure it'll be bad ***.

Nice! But would have been MUCH more impressive if you were still running the CFI setup. Pretty interesting though. And if you did have CFI and beat him, the owner if it was me, would sell my C8 and hang my head in shame.

The fender trim pieces still say CROSS-FIRE INJECTION, but that is about it. Haha..

If he saw that CFI emblem he prolly went home and kicked his dog. Those C8s run pretty strong from a dig
Nice job!
