ZZ4

I have a chance to buy a new ZZ4 crate engine for my '87. Will the L98 TPI setup kill the potential of this engine?

The way I think of it is, well the ZZ4 must have better flowing heads a better cam, and a higher compression ratio. This all adds up to more power, but with a TPI, I dunno that probably will effect it in just crushing your engines performance. Just replace it with a MPFI system, just get the intake you dont need the computer.
If you go to tps or tpis.com they got an intake in the fuel department thats only about $900 and you add you fuel injectors for you application and some other parts to it and your done. ;)

if you do a zz4 at least buy some long tubes and a big base when you install it. the runners and plenum porting you could do at a later date if it's budget restricted.
