Hi folks,
looking for recommendations on aftermarket inline fuel filters. I'll have -8 AN line going to and from the tank fed by a racetronix in tank pump. Looking for a universal 10um inline filter to go in the stock location.
Aeromotive is nice and made in the USA, but $125 is steep for a filter. There's Summit branded ones for half that. I'm sure the Aeromotive will outflow the Summit, but I don't think it matters much for a run of the mill 383 with EFI.
With modern aftermarket filters you pay a lot more if it's flex fuel compatible. So if you're not running flex then find a filter with a paper element. It will save you some money. But if you're going with flex then you have to pay extra.
I went with the Weldon. It was $135 for a washable stainless screen filter.

The one item that might help you out keeping the junk out of the fuel system is a piece of the new Holley "Hydra-Mat" as it is like a sponge for gasoline with very small openings. Holley gave me a piece when I bought a Holley "OEM Tank Module" for my C3.
I have the hydra-mat working for a while and it has done a great job keeping the gasoline clean going to my injectors.
