Odometer randomly reset to 0?

Odometer randomly reset to 0?
L98 car has been having start up issues and dash/interior courtesy light flickering or not even turning on since day of purchase. Car's odometer went to 0 after a drive to keep fluids moving.
My question is would this odometer reset directly lead to a bad ccm/bcm as the culprit? Or what could also possibly cause this? Thanks!

Guns, that makes absolutely no sense. Unless it is a newer C 4 with the digital odometer in the small display on the instrument cluster.
The only possible thing that I can think of could be loose connections on the pins or poor solder joints

Oh yes sorry, its a 1990 with the new interior. And you're thinking loose connections on the bcm?
