What parts are absolutely required for the car to run and perform. I dont live in an emmission state. Listed below are items i can think of. Please add or correct:
1. Elec fuel pump
2. Ecm
3. Maf
4. Throttle body
5. Tbi intake and runners
6. Fuel rails and injectors, pressure reg
7. Burn module
Possibly not required
1. Air injection
2. O2 sensor
3. Egr
Unknown
1. Is there an iac on these cars, what controls idle
O2 sensor is absolutely required. There is an IAC that controls idle speed. Car will not run correctly without Throttle Position Sensor, Coolant Sensor.
If you remove the EGR system (EGR valve, EGR Solenoid, and EGR Temp Switch) you will get codes. I have seen many people remove the AIR Injection system, but I have left mine intact.

Get rid of the converter also and as far as the EGR valve I don't have any codes without it but after you get done with what you want then get a piggy back chip to eliminate the EGR and everything you want to change on your car.
[QUOTE=johnfin;1604339632]How many o2 sensors are there and if they are manditory to run, then removing the aie injection will throw the o2 off, right?
You have to have the 02 sensor if you run the computer, The air injection has nothing to do with the 02 sensor, its to shoot warm air to the converter to warm it up faster, don't need it either.
