corvette cam
i have 1985 vette and i have just buy a summitcam k1107 and wondering if it go with my tpi computer .i have also buy a pete jackson geardrive (noisy).... i have also change my heads on my engine to 461 iron heads double humps with 62cc chambers ..and also matchporting intake ,runners plenum + headers ........the car is a 1985 z51 4+3 . :confused [IMG][/IMG]

yes this cam have 234 244 "050 lift 488 in 510 out lobe 114 i have buy it from summit :rolleyes:

You will need to have your computer chip reprogrammed to work correctly with such a large cam.
I also would suggest you port your plenum, runners, and base manifold to let that engine breathe if you have not already.

ok thanks the intake and plenum is ported and the heads is ported too .i have 882 heads before and now it is 461 heads with much better flow i think it.s flow 180cc intake the old heads flow 137cc intake what do i get a new chip from ...... it.s hard to find here in sweden maybe ecklers have them ??

You might have a problem with that Pete Jackson setup giving false knock counts to the ECM, retarding your timing

The 85 ECM is too slow to give a stable idle with that cam. Best fix is to rewire to 86-89 ECM and get a custom prom for that.

Yeah an upgrade of ECM is a good mod to do when you do this cam, but for the chip itself id recommend Ed Wright,
