Hey, do any of you have this problem? From about 60 and up. I have a vibration in my steering wheel, and I have repeatedly balanced the tires, had the shop hook my car to a machine to determine balance, and even had steering parts inspected and can find NOTHING! Anyone ever had this happen? HELP if you can. Thanks.
Mine Kina does that at 75+mph. ALso It makes easy right hand turns, but the steering wheel gets stuck turning left and requires a bit of power to move it, when It actually gets to move the steering moves just a bit toooo much and I almost got in 2 accidents b/c of it. I rarely drive the Corvette now-Everyother day. :D :D
..... had the shop hook my car to a machine to determine "balance".....
Do you mean "alignment" ?
Vibration usually results from improper wheel balance, mis-alignment, or worn suspension components. Someone may be overlooking the condition causing your vibration.......
What u said is quite interesting because I've experienced the same since I changed the tires(new ones are Dunlop SP9000)...Before I had no vibrations and after I have some when the speed is more than 70 mph, I've rebalanced the tires 3 times but still the same...
If you can rule out tires and wheels first. The best way to do this would be to trade tires and wheels with a corvette friend. If the bad vibes go away you know it is one or more of your wheels. Put yours back on one at a time and test drive after each change. After you identify the problem wheel you can decide on a cure. Mine turned out to be bent rear rims. Replaced the rims and the vibration went away.

Good Luck
this is how I found a similiar problem on my daily driver.
turned out that a "tread" had seperated.
If your "tire guy" does a high speed balance, he SHOULD be able to reproduce your problem on the machine though.

Yeah I switch my tires front and back and their is no vibration in the steering wheel anymore, I guess the front tires were unbalenced
