How much do you want to spend?
The factory has done all the engineering for you , all you need are the right parts from a LT1 car to do the conversion. Depending on your ability I am sure some parts could be home made to save costs. As cooling is a major C4 item it would probably be best to run the factory LT1 setup.
As for the trans it is still a S/B chev so some combination of flywheel, clutch, bellhousing must fit.
I am currently evaluating this swap as I can obtain a rebuilt LT1 with induction cheaper than rebuilding my L98.
I am curently swaping in a LT1 into my 84 the main thing is to use the corvette assy bracket as the F body bracket will cause the A/C pump to hit Make sure you get a motor with all the wiring and ECM. The motor itself will bolt rite in Im not sure about the 4x3( does the CPU control any of the trany if so it will not work) as their was never a 4x3 installed with the LT1. As far as the reverse flow cooling goes because of wear the water pump is located it isn't that big of a deal. You will have to re run your A/C lines to the drivers side due to the relocation of the A/C compressor and the hood clearance is also close. wiring seems prety straight forward and the LT1 produses +50 H.P. over the stock L98.
