Hi all, I'm looking for a good diagram/resource that lists the parts on an L98. I've never worked on cars, and my recently purchased 1985 is my first foray into learning how to do some of my own repairs. We all start somewhere, and rather than being lazy, posting a pic of an engine part and saying "what's this?", I'd like a good recommendation on a repair manual, website, or whatever would list out the parts along with a corresponding picture. Nothing turned up exactly what I wanted in a basic Google search for a diagram, and the amount of manuals available is quite large. I assume this would probably be a good starting point, but open to suggestions:
The Helm FSM you have linked is the only one you need. I have Haynes and Chiltons, they may be good for a picture or tidbit here and there, but its the factory Helm manual that is definitive.
Get the loose page version in a big binder, that way you can remove pages easily which don't apply, and it's easier to lay flat with certain sections open than the bound version. same with the parts catalog. Here's an example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/16420821647...MAAOSwth9ewyiI

Or you can buy the FSM(factory service manual) on a disc. This way you can print out the relevant pages that AZ recommended.
If you do buy a FSM don't pay over $100 for the set(2 books), some clown on FB has FSM in fair/good condition for $200 + shipping. Either clueless or he's applying the "corvette tax". I bought a very good/near mint set for $60 - $80 (I can't remember)
