My 94 ZR1 (LT5) was running perfect but just died. The only thing I've discovered so far is a broken vacuum line. Looks like it's a secondary air vacuum, but I don't know. What is this vacuum used for? Will it prevent the engine from starting? Some forums say this vacuum can be eliminated, true?
Any help is appreciated.
I do have the FSM and have been trying to find info on this vacuum. The car will not run. I went on a short drive and the car was running perfect. When I went to move in back into my shop it tried to start but would not. After several tries it will now turn over normally but makes no attempt at all to start.
The vacuum (right side, next to the right horn) is loud now with power on so it was easy to find.
Ask that this thread be moved to the ZR-1 section and there's already a tremendous number of threads related to your current condition. The FSM also has 'ALL' of the correct procedures that will lead to a make run again!! Does it have gas? Basic diagnostics are all fairly easy and straight forward.
