Default Pop up lights

Hello! I recently bought a 86 corvette but the head light motors are broken, they click why I try to turn the ***** or use the switch, I currently can’t afford to replace them (they are stupid expensive) I was wondering if there was a way to manually flip them open so I can use the head lights.

There is a way but if your gears inside are broken then even that won't work for you. I'll have to look in my manual and see what size of drive you need. I have never had to do it myself. I believe the manual flip is if your electric motor goes bad.
More later.

Usually you just have to replace the gear bushings, they just cost a few bucks

84-87 c4's are different from 88 and up and don't have the bushings. The plastic gears get brittle and the teeth break. You can replace the gears. There are two electrical connectors, one to the headlamp and one to the motor. To open manually and leave them open you will have to unplug the electrical connector to the motors or they will try to close when the headlight switch is turned off. Then you can open them by turning the **** on the bottom of the motor. If it still just clicks push on the headlight door lightly while turning the ****.
