I have seen where guys that run the A-Mold 11" rims are having to add the GS flare to the car to cover the 3/4" that sticks out past the body. Can you alleviate the need for the flares by purchasing rims with a different offset or do the A-molds have the deepest offset that will fit on a stock C4 already?
I hope to one day fit my car with 11" rims but I'm not too sure that I like the looks of the flares.
Dave, I have the AFS on my car and I don't need the flares, now what I find interesting is that after looking closely at RichS' Grand Sport, he needs the flares(well he has them) because they stick out way further than mine do.
So that makes me wonder if the AFS wheels are completely different in offset to OE ZR1 and GS wheels
Not sure of the AFS but the factory GS wheels have a 7 7/8 offset versus the ZR-1 wheels which have a 7 1/4 offset. The deeper offset sets the GS wheels in further which in theory means the tires do not stick out as much. I plan on widening my GS wheels to 12-13" and put on the 335 Pilots or Kumho's. Have the flares now. 315's do not stick out much at all.
