Default 94-96 LT1 ESC Module Upgrade

Guys,
I ordered 94-96 LT1 ESC Module Upgrade from Mid America. This is actually an AC DElco part. It suposed to make an LT1 into a LT4.
My point is I have no idea where to plug this little module. I looked in the Engine area and still haven't been able to figure the location to plug this up.

Any ideas?

The ESC module is just a LT4 knock module. The LT4 k/m is less sensitive than it's LT1 counterpart. Unless you are running roller rockers and are experiencing knock retard you will see no performance increase.

The knock module is located on the underside of your PCM. Remove the two screws holding the cover on, and simply pull the old k/m out, put the new one in, put the cover back on, and you are done.

I hate to bum you out, but Jeff Kopp sells the LT4 knock module for $32.

Jeff Kopp works in the parts department of Superior Chevrolet. Tell him you are from the Corvette Forum and he will sell you parts 10% over price.

Some cars it benefits more than others... I've seen LT1 F-Bodies eliminate 8 deg of knock retard in the worst case scenario (RR, Headers, Exhaust, Timing Chain)...

I added one to my Vette because I do plan on installing the 1.6RRs when I get around to it... I also have a Hypertech with the scan tool cartrige... The scan tool is about the only reason to have the HPP+... Anyway, I didn't have huge improvements, but on several WOT runs, the pre and post LT4 KM runs showed 1 deg less knock retard... It was a small difference, but an improvement none the less... For $30 it doesn't hurt to try...
