89 corvette A/C clutch staying engaged
Ok so I’ve tried searching and not finding a similar situation for my year car. My AC clutch is staying engaged with the climate control off. I have a service manual but there is nothing in there for this situation. What I’ve done so far the clutch comes off if I disconnect the plug at the compressor. If I leave it plugged in and disconnect any and all of the pressure switches the clutch is still engaged. Now for the funny part. I tested the compressor plug with my volt meter. So with the ac on plug has 11 volts or so. Ok that’s normal. But with it off I’m not getting any voltage. But yet I plug it back in and clutch still engages. I can hear the clutch come on when plugging it in but it’s not like a loud click like would normally hear. If it wasn’t for my fan coming on for no reason I wouldn’t have found this problem. And my ac system was iced over. I even tried unplugging the blower module with the compressor plugged in still and no change clutch engaged. Oh this is the c68 electronic system.
