84 Corvette Security Bypass?
I bought an 84 Corvette 305 Crossfire that's in great shape but I'm having some issues with it's security system. At first the Security light would flash or stay constant but lately it's not coming on at all. I disconnected the horns because as soon as I plug in the battery the horns just blast and don't shut off so I disconnected them. The doors lock and unlock perfectly but unlocking them with the key does not shut off the alarm at all. The starter interrupt relay also would make it impossible to start the car. I checked the connections on the doors and locks and they seem fine. I checked for bad grounds and couldn't find any irregularities. When the car runs it runs great but now its also stalling when I drive I'm guessing because the security system is not allowing it to keep going. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the security system all together without affecting the performance of the vehicle? I don't worry much about theft in my area just hoping to drive it. I jumped the starter interrupt relay and now I can start it anytime but the horns still keep blasting and kill the battery even if they are not connected. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
