Electrical gurus, please study the attached image from the FSM of a ‘91 Coupe.
Question: If I splice in a switchable ground to the ltblu/blk and dkblu/wht wires, will the radiator cooling fans run with the key “on” and the switch “on”?
I’m thinking of installing an optional manual switch for my cooling fans and keeping them ECM temp controlled also.

I was pretty sure of the diagram, but a second opinion helps.
Instead of the diode route, I was thinking of going with a DPST switch for the grounds. I would still only have one toggle, but I could keep the circuits separate when the manual toggle is off.
Would that do the same thing you are presenting?
