89 Throttle body
Hi,
Hoping some of you may be able to advise me on this.
89 TPI with a 58mm BBK throttle body, the car has not been tuned to run with it, could this be the cause of some of my rough running issues?
It hesitates at idle and through the lower rev range.
Any advice you have is appreciated.

I have a 89 engine popped out to 383. with a 89 chip, TPI, 58 mm throttle body in my 86.
no tuning done.
Runs fine.
i have noticed that the engine accelerates a little slow right off idle, but pushing my foot down a little more, it gets with the program.
pull the spark plugs and check that they all look the same.
my guess is u might have a spark plug wire that has been too close to the exhaust for a while.
look at # 6, since the oil dipstick kinda pushes the wire out of the holder sometimes.
also check for an exh leak, the knock sensor may think the engine is pinging, And cause the computer to pull back timing up to 10 degrees
