Default 1994 Check gauges

Hello everybody.
I looked in the forum if there was a topic already open but I didn't find it, if it already exists sorry.
I have a question for you.
My Vette is a 1994 with automatic transmission, and the "check gauges" light comes on or blinks for some time.
With the machine running cold for a few minutes it does not turn on, then it starts instead.
Sometimes accelerating it turns off for a few moments or fades in intensity.
Any ideas or suggestions on where to look?

There are a few conditions that 'CHECK GAUGES' is an indicator of, lower than 9.9 voltage/greater than 16.9, over temperature oil/water and even low fuel I believe. Do you have an Owners Manual?

For '93 and newer it's always been available from GM in .pdf for FREE. Today that link isn't populating. It is for years newer so maybe that's a recent change to exclude a few years. Don't know.

If it works later I'll post it. It seems that all C4's have 'maybe' been eliminated from the FREE 'OWNERS MANUAL" access. First year that populated was '97 (C5)

Thanks for your help.
I replaced the float and fuel pump, I have no problems with temperatures and volts. I think it may depend on an old sensor that gives some wrong signal, but I don't know where to start looking ...
I will end up switching off the light ...

You could 'poll' the CCM using the DIC and check for codes

You would need some diagnostic information and be familiar with the procedure. I have the 8D section of a similar year ( '96) diagnostics in a file that's small enough that it might email. PM me an email address and I'll try sending it.

There's also information here but I'd think the 8D section of the FSM would likely do better.

From an Owners Manual

'93 - '96 Owners Manuals seem to be available FREE from Corvsport still.

My 96' does this. Not sure what causes it exactly in my case, but the digital coolant display will randomly read HI COOL, causing the check gauges light to come on. I've inspected the wiring and replaced the sensor to no avail. My point being, keep an eye out for wierd readings as such.

In my case I have no strange measures.
The only "strange" thing is that I have a current leak, possibly caused by the car stereo. If I leave the battery attached, and don't use the car for more than two days, the battery will run out.
But he's been doing it for a long time and I didn't have this problem.

Hi guys!
I noticed something, and I wanted to know your opinion.
If I look at the oil temperature on the display I see that it indicates 103 °C, but the pointer on the dashboard does not go up, or it goes up very little.
Do you think it could be the cause of the light on?
When in doubt I order it to change it and we hope so.
