Default Another window adjustment problem

I am trying to get these windows adjusted on this 86 and I am having no luck. The doors seem to be adjusted where they should be but no matter what I do I cannot get these things correct. All of these pics are with the window about an inch form being all the way shut: This is all new latex weatherstripping, including targa top, from Corvette Central. It has been on the car for almost a year. Part #: 634565... over $600.00

Why is the glass so far off at the A-pillar here?

At the roof weatherstrip, it wants to almost go under.

The fit at the B-pillar seems to be good?

Passenger glass is way off at the B-pillar

So any ideas what I need to do here. I have messed with every adjustment and cannot get these to work. I had a guy lined up to look at these for me but that has fallen through so I have to try to get this myself.

I would suggest taking the door panel off and seeing if the glass of motor set up needs to be adjusted.

Default I just did both doors

It looks like your window glass is not going high enough to touch all three seals. I just disassembled both inner doors so I am very familiar with the window adjustment.

Check out my attached photos of the inner door assembly:

Window height adjustment stop.

At the rear of the window towards the B pillar is the window stop that looks like double hook claw. It is held in place by two 10mm bolts. That keeps the window from going up too high. Check the position of that stop and if it is keeping your glass from moving high enough simply loosen both bolts and then bump the window up until it seals correctly.

Then tighten both 10mm bolts. You may still have to play around with the other window adjustments on the glass edge and regulator.

Start with the above adjustment and post your results.

tfvesquire, the windows will roll all the way up. That is not the problem. In the photos I do not have them rolled all the way up. My main concern is the way that it fits at the A-pillar. I can not get the glass to tilt out far enough to fit in that A-pillar like it should.

To angle the window out, adjust the "guide" listed below (from '87 FSM). Also adjust the anti-rattle cushions to keep it firm.

KAEL, that is the same window adjustment I was recommending,

If the OP is having issues with the tilt of the window, then he has to play with the mounting bolts on the window regulator. Start with the two top bolts in the window of the inner door top edge. That along with the fuzzy window stops will have to be loosened. Then you might have to also loosen the two regulator bolts on the bottom of the door. If the angle of the top of your window glass is too far IN or OUT this should do the trick. If the window is too far forward to backward, then loosening the three adjustment nuts that (10mm) that secure the window glass to the regulator will help with that. In your photo of the passenger door glass, it doesn't appear the window goes up far enough which is why I suggested adjusting the window glass stop. Maybe, you just had the window bumped down during the photo.

Ted

I think I have a photo of what I'm talking about and will post it when I find it.

Both the passenger and driver windows are not all the way up in the photos. I left them down. They do go all the way up. I upgraded the regulators from ribbon style to the scissor style and there is not much wiggle room in those lower bolts. My main problem is with the driver glass against the A-pillar weatherstripping. Do you see how far in that glass is in relationship to the weatherstrip?

The "guide" adjusts the in/out. It actually moves the bottom of the window, so to get the window OUT, move the guide IN.

The pic is wrong, that's for the old ribbon style, not the scissor.

Apologies I can't be specific, haven't had to adjust the windows in the last few years (thank the Great Cosmos!).
