Default What Is This Please

C4 1985. I was under the car putting on a new oil filter and I saw this connector that seems somewhat melty. Can anyone please tell me what this is. The pictures are from forward of the frame rail where the body ground is located on the drivers side and forward of the oil filter. The connector melds into the harness in the sheath. I am trying to point it out in the picture.

Thanks

C

Looks like the oxygen sensor pigtail connector.

I don't have an '85, though.

Thanks for responding. The O2 sensor wire I believe goes elsewhere. It is in one of the frames I posted. I can double check but I don't think it is.

I'd trace that O2 sensor wire back... not much else on that side plugs in with a single wire in that area.

Head sensor would be temp gauge/dash. ECM temp gauge is usually front of the manifold. They are separate...
