Default 1990 Corvette, Unidentified Parts

Hi, I have been working on my Chevy and found a 2 parts that are unaccounted for.

The black plastic cap was found down by the battery tray area. I have included the spark plug for size comparison, but you already know that...

The second part, the "spring retainer" was found down near the front of the engine near the crankshaft pulley. I vaguely remember this is to guide a hose, maybe?

Your help is appreciated.

I can't help with identifying them, sorry. But I WILL say that my son also has a 1990 and we found the same "plug" part floating around somewhere in his, so if it gets identified it will be helping us both out!

The cap might possibly be the plug on the end of the wheel-house seals There would be 4 - 2 on each side.

You are correct- that is the cap for the end seals for the wheel well. Use some super glue to hold it in place.

I cant help you with the spring.

The spring is actually a GM# 10165311 and original terminology I believe was 'strap'. You can see them offered on eBay quite often. Used for '90 & '91 only I believe. #28 in this image or installed as in displayed post # 4 today. Hose to reservoir. '90 & '91 reservoir was a bit unusual. GM# 7849151. eBay again has some very good images.
