Trans cooler hose length???

'89 Oil cooler hose length???
The hose on my '89 cooler has enough length to loop over itself about two feet on right side of engine, is this normal? I'm concerned it will fold and kink closed. I've only had car for one year and don't have any reference to tell if this is the original hose set-up. Thanks

Doesn't sound right to me. One thing I have learned about my vette since I've owned it, is that the General did NOT give you any more length on anything than absolutely necessary. Wires, tubing, and hoses are the exact length to make the connection and no longer. I would cut it to take the possibility of kinking out and give me some peace of mind. Maybe someone who knows for sure will chime in later.

It's bent hardline that follows the passenger side frame and goes directly into the radiator. There's no soft (or bendable, or braided) line there.
Sounds like a mechanic got lazy and picked whatever they had on hand rather than measuring twice and cutting once.
