Have a 90 vette. No problem with the front cornering lights. They work as intended. However forward of the red rear side marker lights is a transparent lens (with a bulb in each one) similar to the front cornering lens yet I’ve tried every which way to get them to turn on but they don’t. One bulb was bad, the other good. 8A of my FSM speaks of “one or both “ and only shows 2 circuits which I presume mean the fronts yet the bulb replacement chart in the owners manual indicates replacement bulbs for front cornering and rear cornering lights. Are there rear cornering lights? Backing up maybe? I didn’t try it in reverse.

Bulbs in the rear should be 'clear' and 'only' work in 'reverse'!
Oh - and if you have a ZF6 (?) and you now discover your backup lights don't work...test it to verify but it's very likely your reverse switch on the transmission is not functional...
