Default Sunvisor install

Got the new sunvisors for my 88. Both sides. Sounds trivial, but how are they installed? I have the springs, cup washers with a star punched out of them, and nuts. The fsm just shows retainer. Is that the nut or star washer?
Hate to even ask.. but last time my car had visors on it was in 2003....
Thanks!

Need to remove the top, remove plastic trim below where the top fastens, remove plastic trim surrounding visors and rear view mirror, and drop the mirror down. Will see an 8mm nut that holds the visors in place. Once you remove the top it'll be easy to see what needs removed.

The a pillar is apart as far as trim goes. These visors I just got are replacing ones that came off the car a long time ago, so no referance but the fsm to go by.

I believe the original sun visors used a push nut retainer instead of a threaded nut. Had to pry them off and try not to break or bend them too much. I remember trying to hold up the sun visor with my knee and using a hammer and small socket to install them. New aftermarket are threaded and much easier to install or remove.

Its like a toothed retainer and not a nut, you have to pry it off and guarantee a tooth will break when you do. The gotcha is that spring, it's gonna fly off when that retainer comes out, and you better catch it
