I am ready for a new set of tires. I want to go with the original factory sizes.
That is 285's and 255's. The Goodyear Supercar F1's don't come in these sizes so I have decided on the Michelin Pilot's. Probably a better tire than the Goodyear F1's anyways. What do you guys think?
I bought GY HP Ultra Plus tires. They are less than $200 from Tire Rack and have twice the treadwear rating of the GS-C (I think its 320). AAA traction, too. I have had them for 2+ years and I have 40% tread left -- that's with 50,000 miles on them already!
this is going to turn into another recommend what your driving on threads..i just know it. the type of driving and driving conditions will reflect what tire to buy more than anything else. also being stuck on a 285 in the rear narrows the choices. someone mentioned kuhmo, that mx they have is only rivaled by a BFG kd in performance. they make a 275/255 last i checked. search the archives for tires...you'll find more posts than you probably care to read. lots of good info too.
