Default 88 Hard Brakes
Any ideas as to the cause of hard brake pedal. Really have to get on them to come to full stop. Pads still look ok and fluid is ok.

Vacuum leak, or the booster is going bad. Check the hose from the booster to the plenum.

Sounds like power booster is bad. Can you hear a hissing sound down around the pedal? Power booster is not hard to replace and doesn't require bleeding the brakes afterwards. Expect to pay about $100.00 for a rebuilt booster.

So far both response lead to power booster. I will check that out first.
