Default IAC Test Help

I have a "IAC sensor high" trouble code. I was capturing a 3/4 throttle run, and afterwards it ran not so good. Playing back the run, just after I let off, the GPS reading went to 254 and is still there. I unplugged the sensor, relinked, and still have the 254 reading.

How can I figure out if the IAC is F'd or the ECM is at fault??? (I'm thinking ECM)

Just curious. Did you disconnect the battery?

Many times by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or more you reset your systems. At least on mine, I have to then take the car for a ride to teach/relearn the computer.

Good Luck,

Lets not think about ECM yet. Reset the codes, adjust the IAC then go from there.
Thats what I'd do.

Are you working on an L98 MAP or MAS system?
IAC has units of "Counts".
MAF has units of "GPS"
MAP has units of "KPa"
What are you using for a scan tool?
