96 LT1 with P0335
I have a 96 collectors edition with an LT1 that is throwing a P0335 code indicating the optispark cannot communicate with the crank sensor. If you operate the car with this DTC, it will eventually misfire. I replaced the crankcase position sensor (CPS)and cleared all DTCs with my scanner. The car runs good with no check engine light (CEL). However, when I turn the ignition back on the P0335 reappears.The code always reappears when you restart the engine.. Possible causes for this code include a worn relactor wheel, wiring harness, worn timing chain, etc. Since the optispark was recently replaced, I decided to change the wire harness connecting the optisparc to the crank sensor. Problem solved..
