Request for Part Identification

What is the name of this pictured electrical part?

Image is from an LT4 found on internet, but I have the same part on my LT1. This image is much prettier than what I’ve got going on.

Not sure this cover was meant to be removed….

Thats your control board for the windshield wipers. Controls the pulse/delay functions.

Yes that the internal image of the Wiper Motor Cover that hasn't been available from GM for quite some time. Original part #'s would have been 22038799 and then 22101362, research using those #'s might help you

I very much appreciate the replies. After reading up on it a bit, it appears to be an infamous, hard to find part. After letting my C4 (my wife calls it hers) sit idle in my shop for the past 3 years, I've resumed working on it and I'm having to figure out how to reassemble stuff I removed years ago. I think I removed this cover (not knowing what the hell it was) when I was looking for the oil pressure sender/switch. I wish I hadn't messed with it.

I look forward to getting this car running again, so I'll no doubt have future questions on how to properly assemble things.
