Well lets just say this has been a tough week for me so I thought I would relax by getting some maintenance stuff done on the car.......WRONG!!! Here's what happened. I went to bleed the clutch and for some reason(Just not thinking straight) I decided not to remove the slave cylinder. I filled the reservoir with new fluid, had the wife step on the clutch, then when I cracked open the bleed valve I lost all pressure in the clutch. I have been jacking with it for 2 hours now trying to get it worked out but I am at the end of my rope. :mad Any ideas as to what I did and how to fix it?
Thanks,
...Also I just remembered. Right after it happened I looked where the master cylendar connects and one of the bolts was completely out. I tightened it down and tried to bleed it again but still no luck :mad :mad :mad
when I replaced my slave and master cylinder my wife wouldn't help (to busy) so I filled the slave cyl. before installind it, overfilled the reservoir then i opened the bleed screw and grabbed a beer. As the reservoir would empty I sat there refilling it when I finished the beer I tightened the bleed screw and checked. It was good
.... I decided not to remove the slave cylinder....
It is assumed that you are working on your admiral blue '95. The GM manual reads that '88-'96 vette models can be bled without removing the slave cylinder from the clutch cover.
If you still haven't rectified your problem, I will email you the brief bleed instructions from the manual, in case you are missing a "step" in the process.
OK I finally finished changing the clutch fluid and bleeding the system. I ended up taking the slave off and filling it with fluid then putting it back on. I had a hard time getting that sucker back on because the threads didn't want to line up. Anyway now on to the next problem... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zero...newtopic&id=48
