reason I asked is some sneaky individual unplugged the SES light so i couldn't do it with the ALDL connector. i ended up putting the socket from the door ajar lamp there so i could pull the trouble codes with a paper clip
I dont really get this pulling code thing. DO you put in a computer dyagnostic in the port under the dash of the drivers side for the codes? OR does it display on the LCD?
My friend's old caddy used to display em on the A/C LCD but apparently vettes dont do that. All you have to do is touch each end of a paper clip to the correct terminals on the connector (look in a book) and count the flashes... There's an article about it that makes it pretty easy on c4vettes.com
And BTW the electronic AC controls on the late C4's also have diagnostic capability's for the AC control system, you can actually retrive codes from it also, just like the PCM, just something to keep in mind...
