Default INFTL REST code 16

Trying to clear SIR code 16 by cleaning left front sensor. Is this the correct SIR connector I have disconnected? Battery is already out. It’s located under the left carpeting forward of the left front speaker. Not exactly at the base of the steering column as the FSM indicates.

There is a TSB related to the 90 sir code 16.
90-436-9J. Local gm dealer should print it off if you stop in when it's not busy. To clear sir code you will need scanner. Idk if generic scanner will do a 90.

Thanks, I already have the TSB. Got it off the Forum. I’ve been clearing the codes. It’s lasted for a long while but now won’t stay clear and it’s time to clean the sensor on the frame rail. I just need to know if, based on the picture I included, that it is the SIR connector which must be disconnected when working on the system so I (accidentally?) don’t blow the airbag.

I don't remember connector being round. It's a yellow harness, there should be a blue and white sticker near the connector. Its at the base of the column. You can see where harness goes up column that would be the one.

Ok thanks, I’ll take another look. I’ll also look for the blue and white sticker. Didn’t actually jump out at me like I thought it would.
