I am in process of changing the rearend suspension bushings, 84 C4. Since I have the differential removed I will be changing the gear oil. My diff has the orange limited slip tag on it and I saw a video someone using a gear lube with anti friction stuff in it. The owners manual I have doesn't say or I was looking in the wrong place.
So this brings me to the question what gear oil is recommended and how much? 2 quarts?? Iknow there is a plug to let excess drain out. I just don't want to run back to the auto store if I need more.
Also what oil is recommended? 10-30 conventional or synthetic? Not sure if synthetic was around in 1984 or if the original seals will start leaking if synthetic is used.
Thanks for the help. After cleaning.
