Default !986 Corvette C4 Indy

Hi,
I am having troubles keeping the car running. It is idling high, but when I put it into gear it stalls out. Any ideas for me? The other problem is that the brakes lock up with just a touch of the pedal, then release when letting up on the pedal.
Please Help,
Jim

A simple test to tell if the power booster is bad is to clamp the hose giving the PB vacuum. I used vice grips with tape over the teeth. Opened them up a little so it doesn't destroy that hose. My PB was bad. I had a high idle before clamping it and it ran perfect with the hose clamped. Took them off and it ran bad again. Replaced PB and it idled good, but then had to replace Master cylinder. This got all my old fluid thoroughly flushed out of the system bleeding the brakes 2x. I also replaced my plugs while I had the PB out, so if it is your PB that is a good time to easily get to the rear driver side plugs.
