Anybody see this?
Anybody see the short block advertised on this weekends edition of Trucks, not sure if it was a rerun though. I was a 355ci, 4 bolt main, with forged pistons and some other goodies for $1200. That sounded like a good deal to me just wondering if I could build the same or similar thing for less.

need more info......in my shortblock, im buildin a 383 forged JE pistons, forged eagle 6.0" H beam rods, forged 4340 eagle crank and i'm into mine with machine work for almost 3 grand!

I saw the same episode. That is a very good deal. Only problem is you can only get it with flat top pistons. If you like them then there is no problem. Another good deal is in the GM performance catalog. They have a 355 crate engine with 350 hp for arround $2000.
