Evaporator Delete
I'm building this car to knock down traffic cones on the autocross track so no need for AC. Funny though it's one of the hottest days we have had today in Seattle. So I have cut the Heater AC box into the shape an AC delete car would of had had there ever been such a thing.
The heater box is made from two different materials. The outside one that holds the blower motor is made from some sort of Plastic that has Fiberglass properties. This inside 1/2 is made from Fiberglass that has Plastic properties. I have made a quick mold from thin cutting board material. I then just use Duct Tape to seal it to the Heater Box.
Once the Black colored fiberglass is sanded it turns a grey very similar to the OEM heater box color. I have learned this on my 1969 restoration. My goal was to make it look like it came from the factory this way, and do it as quick and easy as possible. This car is ment to be a driver. I'm looking forward to being able to see the spark plugs !
