Default Electrical Issue (Optispark or something else?)

Hey Guys,

I'm having some kind of electrical issue with my 95 (77k miles). There are times where I'll get into the car, turn the key, and have no power what so ever (radio is reset as if the battery got disconnected). Then the next time it will start up fine and idle (mostly strong) but when I take it out for a drive, it runs a bit odd and there's hesitation on the throttle as if the engine computer isn't working properly. I've noticed the electrical gauge bouncing recently as well. Thoughts on what this may be and how I can fix it? Could it be as simple as wiring that's lose or worn out or does this sound like the optispark and going to be expensive?

Thanks,
Tyler

Your 95 has low mileage for most parts to fail.
The opti would not make you loose power. Optis are pretty reliable.
If i were you i would look at power/ short/ original battery? Needs testing. Check your ground points. Frame rail, eng block left side. Do not use grease neverseize.
I always chase threads at ground points replace with S.S.

I agree with the admiral. Easiest things first. Are your battery cables tight?
