I have found oil in my 89’s intake after 300 miles since reinstalling the intake. China walls were resealed & thus everything was deep cleaned before installation. My new reconditioned fuel injectors were leaking internally so I had to pull the plenum & runners to remove them. I’ve read that under full throttle oil will more easily get sucked or pushed into the intake. Is there anyway to fix this?
I 2nd the catch can. Because you have a PCV system it will always pull oil into the intake. A catch can will catch most of it at cruse. You'll still get a little in there if you drive wide open or close to it because of the loss of vacuum.
Because of my ridiculous ring gap, my catch can is half full after a 1 hour drive. If it weren't for that cheap Chinese can, all that oil would go in the intake.
