Mystery random clunk
Hi folks, newbie here and just thought I'd share this for your entertainment. I'm picking up an 88 convertible Wednesday, just bought today. Kind of a risk, as the engine has an issue (but I like the rest of the car and am experienced with engine work). Here's the issue; there's a random "clunk', like somethings flopping around. Engine sounds good otherwise, seems strong and consistent, no misfires. Only let it run for the length of the video so not a lot to go on, didn't want to risk doing any more harm. Have a listen, I'd be interested in your thoughts of what it might be. In any case I'm going to open it up and find out anyway, but thought it might be fun to get some ears on it and introduce myself at the same time!
Here's the vid, hope it's clear enough. Done on an iPhone 12 mini at about 18 inches from the engine. Might want to listen with quality headphones (computer speakers just make it sound jangly).
