1992 C-4 Brake Booster
I have 47K miles on my 92 Coupe and would like to know how I can tell if my brake booster is circling the drain so to speak. I can panic stop and low speed but sometime I have to push a little harder than I think I should to stop. Thoughts I already checked YT.

You could pump up the brakes high then start with foot on high pedal it drop a fair amount once vacuum comes up, if it doesn't booster has a problem.
. Speaking about vacuum have you checked that vacuum supply doesn't have a leak.
If you lay your foot on the pedal do you hear a hiss

I pulled tge vacuum hose and it has good vacuum, no hissing. I'm getting ready to replace the brake lines with stainless steel hoses and put ceramic pads on it, hoses are good but they are 30 yo and brake pads are needed. Thanks for the tip on pedal will try that.

If your idle is good, your PB is probably fine. My 92 had a high/rough idle and hard brakes. I put a pair of vice grips on the vacuum line and the idle instantly improved. Changed the PB and brakes were good, until a week later and my MC went out. If you have a 6 speed it is a different PB than the automatics. The aftermarket ones are all designed with the automatic specs and won't clear your clutch cylinder. I had to return the new replacement PB on my 92 6 speed and bought a used PB from another 92 6 speed and it has worked great.
