Broken mounting tabs on taillights
Two of the tail lights in Wife’s ’85 were loose and when I pulled them off to do a little rear-end wrap I discovered they each had a broken mounting tab. One was missing completely.
I wasn’t sure I could come up with a glue, or epoxy to reconnect one and basically build the other. I decided instead to try to utilize the partial pieces left and glue a stud in place. Essentially, making a male connection instead of female.
I had some PC11 that I’ve never used, but remember seeing all the screws, hardware and stuff glued to a coke bottle in the old hardware store as a sales display for the stuff.
I zip-tied the stud to the 1/2 that was still there, then embedded the whole thing in the PC11.
seems to be a solid mount now - we’ll see how the hold up.
